Chickadees dive, wrens dart,
Nuthatches hang upside down,
Finches cluster, juncoes browse,
titmouses wait their turn,
a northern flicker bullies,
sparrows glean under the holly bush;
swoop, swipe a seed, haul the bounty to
a branch and eat it in peace.
Praying today: For hungry people in our communities.
